Part I — The Light

Episode 1

A book that does not exist. A chapter no one wrote.

A doctor keeps a notebook the way he keeps a chart: dated entries, two columns, nothing confused. Then a file he did not write appears on his computer — eleven pages, in his own syntax, describing what a future dinner will have meant. Episode 1 opens the story and its method, and closes on a column that will not resolve.
